I need my car for work. I am a lanky git. I need a larger car. I hate front wheel drive cars. I think they are dangerous. They are produced like that for cheapness. I live in a rural area with crap and expensive public transport. Now thanks to our weak, wananbe Tory “Government” I am facing a Car Tax hike of over 40 pounds a year because I drive a “Gas Guzzler”.
My Gas Guzzler does over 30 miles to the gallon. My Gas Guzzler is one of the safest cars on the road. My Gas Guzzler is over 15 years old. My Gas Guzzler still uses the same illegally double taxed fuel (VAT should only be on cost of fuel… not the tax part) which is nearly 1 pound a litre as the small “mobile chicane” front wheel drive deathtraps already popping up on our roads (”Papa/Nicole/Bobby/vavavoom…all can f*ck off”).
If as they say my car is a Gas Guzzler, then surely the extra fuel I use pays them the extra tax. MOTS are all on a database now and insurance cards can be chipped and placed in a car window. So..
Why have Road Tax at all ?
If it was abolished and incorporated into the fuel price (not subject to the illegalities of VAT) surely those using the roads more will be paying for it. Not me, who is having to fork out hand over fist, just so these abhorrant tossers can float around the other flakey tinpot Euro states and say ” We are doing our bit”.
Makes me want to phlegm.
